The Overview dashboard

The workspace-wide dashboard with revenue trend, pipeline widgets, and win/loss.

Overview is the workspace-wide dashboard you open from the sidebar. It answers "how is the business doing right now?" with a sortable grid of KPIs and widgets. This article explains the layout, the widgets, and how to read them together.

Open Overview

Click Overview in the sidebar. It sits near the top, above Discovery. Every workspace member sees the same numbers.

PLACEHOLDER: replace with overview-dashboard-full.light.png. Shows the Overview dashboard with the KPI cards strip across the top (New deals, MRR, Win rate, Pipeline value, Meetings held, Closed won), a period picker in the top right, and a widget grid below with Revenue Trend, Pipeline By Stage, Deal Flow Funnel, and Win/Loss.

KPI cards

The strip at the top shows the numbers you check every morning. Click a card to see its trend and the drill-down for the current period. Blake reorders the strip based on the sort you pick.

Every card shows how it changed since the previous period. Green = up, orange or grey = down or flat.

The widget grid

Below the KPIs, the widget grid gives shape to the numbers. Blake ships nine widgets:

  • Revenue Trend (Free and up): closed-won revenue over time.
  • Pipeline By Stage (Free and up): total value per Qualification / Proposal / Negotiation / Won / Lost.
  • Deal Flow Funnel (Free and up): how many deals move stage-to-stage.
  • Win/Loss (Free and up): Won vs Lost ratio with values.
  • Deal Mix (Free and up): breakdown by deal type or industry.
  • Recurring Trend (Closer and up): MRR/ARR over time.
  • Loss Reasons (Closer and up): bar chart of the eleven loss categories.
  • Target Progress (Closer and up): how close you are to quota this period.
  • Focus (Free and up): accounts and deals that need attention now.

On Free and Scout, the Closer-only widgets show a locked state with an upgrade tooltip.

Drag the widget header to reorder. Your layout persists per user.

The period picker

The picker in the top right sets the time range for the whole page. Options include Last 7 / 14 / 30 days, Last 90 days, This quarter, This year, All, and a Custom range. Every card and widget updates instantly when you change the period.

Some widgets carry a secondary filter for finer control (Pipeline By Stage can slice by team, Deal Flow Funnel can slice by owner). Use these to answer more specific questions without leaving the page.

Overview vs Pipeline

Two surfaces get confused because they both show numbers:

  • Overview (this page): the workspace-wide dashboard. Sidebar row.
  • Pipeline (a Deals tab): the widgets focused on the sales funnel. See Pipeline and Forecast.

For the main dashboard, use Overview. For pipeline-only questions, use the Pipeline tab under Deals.

Pair with Ask Blake

Overview answers what. Ask Blake answers why:

  • "Why is win rate down this month?"
  • "Which loss reasons drove Q1 losses?"
  • "Which team member has the strongest recurring pipeline?"

Ask Blake can also analyse your CRM, conversations, emails, and activities to generate a briefing for a company, contact, deal, or meeting, together with suggested next actions — just ask.

For a written summary of any period, ask Blake directly. See Ask Blake for a summary.

If a widget is empty

  • The period picker is set to a short range: widen it.
  • No deals matched the current filter: clear secondary filters on the widget.
  • You are on Free or Scout and the widget is locked: upgrade to Closer for the full set.
