Create your first workspace
Set up your Blake workspace from signup to the workspace Inbox.
Every Blake account starts with a workspace. This article walks the flow from signup to the workspace Inbox.
Before you start
- You have a work email address you can verify. Blake blocks workspace creation until the address is verified.
- You have a company name in mind. This becomes the display name of your workspace.
Steps
- Open app.useblake.ai/signup and create your account. Blake sends a verification code to your email. Enter it on the next screen.
- On the New workspace page, enter your Company name. Blake previews the workspace URL live under the field as
useblake.ai/w/<slug>.
-
Optionally upload a Workspace logo. Blake accepts PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP up to 256KB.
-
Click Create workspace. Blake lands you on the workspace Inbox at
/w/<slug>/inbox. Your plan is set to Free.
Rename later
You can rename a workspace from Settings > Workspace > Workspace settings. Blake enforces a 30-day cooldown between renames and shows the next allowed date next to the field. Your previous URL slug stays reserved to your workspace so no one else can claim it.
If this does not work
- If Create workspace returns Verify your email before creating a workspace., open the verification email Blake sent and enter the code. You cannot create a workspace with an unverified address.
- If you hit a rate-limit error, wait an hour. Blake caps workspace creation at five per user per hour.
- If the URL preview shows a random suffix like
-4a2b, another workspace already uses your preferred slug. Adjust the company name or accept the suffix.
The Workspace logo upload runs after Blake creates the workspace. If the upload fails, Blake still creates the workspace and you can retry the logo from Settings > Workspace > Workspace settings.
Next steps
Your workspace exists, but the onboarding does not end here. Walk through the rest of the setup in this order:
- Invite your team. Add teammates and pick the smallest role each needs.
- Configure your profile. Set the name, avatar color, and job title that show up next to your actions.
- Set your preferences. Language, timezone, date format, theme, and working hours.
- Your daily work with Blake. See how Blake fits into your day-to-day sales work across the app.
