Workspace settings

Set your workspace logo, name, and link.

Every workspace has an identity: a name, a logo, and a link. Change any of them from Settings > Workspace > Workspace settings. Workspace settings are only visible to Owners and Admins.

Where to find these settings

Open Settings > Workspace > Workspace settings in the sidebar. The identity card is at the top.

PLACEHOLDER: replace with workspace-identity-card.light.png. Shows Settings > Workspace > Workspace settings with the identity card visible: Workspace logo tile (with Change / Remove actions), Workspace name text input, and a read-only URL pill 'app.useblake.ai/<slug>' with a Change action.

Click Change on the logo tile to upload. Requirements:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP.
  • Max size: 256 KB.
  • Recommended: square with a transparent background.

Blake shows a preview immediately. If you upload a rectangular image, Blake centre-crops for the sidebar corner. Click Remove to go back to the default initial-plus-color avatar.

Workspace name

The Workspace name is what appears in the sidebar, in emails, and in every share URL. Type a new name, click Save, and Blake updates it everywhere in the next second.

Renaming the workspace does not change the workspace link. That is a separate action with different rules.

The Workspace link is the URL where you and your team open the workspace, for example app.useblake.ai/w/your-workspace. The last part of the link is the slug.

The workspace name and the workspace link are two separate fields. Renaming one does not update the other. Click Change next to the Workspace link to open the rename dialog.

  • Length: 3 to 40 characters.
  • Characters: lowercase letters a through z, digits 0 through 9, and hyphens.
  • Cannot start or end with a hyphen and no consecutive hyphens.
  • Reserved slugs are blocked (route names, brand variants).

Blake previews the new URL live under the field as you type.

The 30-day rename cooldown

You can rename the workspace link only once every 30 days. Blake shows the next allowed date next to the field ("You can rename the workspace URL again on {date}.") when you are inside the cooldown.

The cooldown exists because a link change breaks every existing URL (invite URLs, notification links, previously shared views). Blake reserves your previous link permanently so no one else can claim it, but the old URLs stop working.

Plan the rename. Communicate it to your team before you change the link.

After a rename

  • Every teammate needs the new link. Blake sends a notification to every member with the new address.
  • Bookmarks with the old link do not redirect. Users see a not-found page.
  • API keys and integrations that hard-code the link break. Update those before or right after the change.

Workspace metadata

The card also shows read-only fields:

  • Workspace ID: the internal identifier. Useful when contacting support.
  • Plan: your current plan (Free / Scout / Closer / Dealmaker / Enterprise).
  • Created on: when the workspace was first created.

If you cannot see this page

  • The Workspace settings page is missing from your sidebar: only Owners and Admins can access it. Ask an Owner or Admin.
  • The Workspace link field is locked with a cooldown: wait until the date shown on the label.
  • The logo upload fails: check the format (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP) and the size (max 256 KB). Re-export smaller if needed.
