Connect your email

Connect your mailbox so Blake can stage drafts for you to review and send.

Connecting your mailbox lets Blake stage outreach drafts directly in your Drafts folder. You review and send from your own inbox. Blake never sends on your behalf.

Email is one of many integrations Blake supports. For the full catalog and how connectors extend Blake in general, see Integrations overview.

Before you start

  • You use a supported mailbox. Blake currently supports Microsoft 365 (Outlook).
  • You are signed in to Blake as an Admin or Owner. Members cannot manage integrations.
  • Your mailbox admin allows OAuth for third-party apps. If you are on a locked-down tenant, ask your IT team to approve the Blake app first.

Connect your mailbox

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find the connector card for your mailbox and click Connect. A consent screen opens in a new window.
  3. Sign in with the account you want Blake to draft into.
  4. Review the requested permissions and confirm. You are returned to Blake.
  5. The connector card shows Connected and the address you authorised.

What Blake can do with the connection

  • Stage outreach drafts in your Drafts folder when you use the Stage draft action in Ask Blake.
  • Read calendar context when you ask Blake about a meeting.
  • Undo a staged draft: Blake removes it from your mailbox at your request.

Blake never sends email on your behalf. Every draft waits for you to review and send it from your own inbox.

How Ask Blake uses your mailbox

When you ask Blake about an email, Blake first retrieves the relevant mailbox information through your connected email integration. That information is added as context before the request is processed, exactly like information you manually provide to Ask Blake. The complete request is then processed using normal Usage Credits.

If this does not work

  • The Connect button loops back to Blake without connecting: your mailbox tenant blocks third-party OAuth apps. Ask your IT admin to approve the Blake app for your tenant.
  • The connector card shows an error after connecting: the authorisation was cancelled or the required permissions were not granted. Click Reconnect and complete every step of the consent screen.
  • Staged drafts do not appear in your Drafts folder: refresh the folder. The first draft after connecting can take a moment to sync.
